Our world in images, 2019

This project was a collaboration between myself and mathematician Petros Stefaneas.
It was part of the larger project 'I am used to seeing the world through images' pairing one visual artist with one scientist, curated by Jenny Tsoumbri and produced by Tidal Flow Art.
It was presented in the second floor dome of the Eugenides Foundation in Athens
Me and Petros met throughout the year to talk about a possible conjunction of my artistic practice with concepts guiding mathematical research.
It culminated in a presentation in which both of us talked about our experience meeting each other and about concepts such as the void, liminality, fractals, the fragment and the whole, each one from one's own perspective and field.
The whole scope of my artistic production was presented starting with such works as the video/installation Killing the Father, 2004 and Memory Sticks (Video, 2006) finishing with Chiasm, 2018.
Other works presented were the interactive puzzle 'Chimera', 2007, Pieces from the collage series 'Algedon', 2010-14, the drawings 'With Without' No6 and 'The Battle' No1, 2016, the triptych Inferno/Resurrection/The Fall, 2017, 'Daphne', 2017, and the Self-icon 'Birth', 2010
