Painting, 2022

In my recent work I study paintings from the history of Western art, together with images from the news and popular culture. I am interested in creating new narratives, that emerge from the meeting of the past and the present and occupy the space between representation and abstraction. I concentrate on invoking a sensation of feshiness as color and movement and representing the body in a way that defies objectification.
