Demolition, 2006
My graduation thesis for the Athens School of Fine Arts. An installation and performance narrating the story of the demolition of my family house in Athens, which happened in 2006. A 6 meter collage of photos narrating the process of the demolition hangs on the wall and becomes a three dimensional assemblage as the photographs expand to objects detached from the house. A window frame hangs in the middle. On the other side of the frame I sit alone. A video, superimposing an action in which I tie up myself with a rope on footage from the demolition is projected on my body.
